Let's talk labs!
Here are the functional lab tests I routinely recommend.
Note: I have access to many more functional lab tests and may suggest running additional labs, depending on your unique situation and health complaints.
DUTCH HORMONE TEST
The DUTCH hormone test is a simple dried urine test that can be done at home. We'll look at hormone markers that give insight as to why you aren't sleeping, can't lose weight, are exhausted all of the time, have anxiety and/or depression and more. Test looks at cortisol, DHEA, estrogen, progesterone, testosterone, melatonin, digestive markers, neurotransmitters, B vitamin deficiencies and detox pathways.
GI MAP (gut test)
The GI Map is a simple, at home stool test that shows us why you're struggling with bloating, gas, diarrhea or constipation, reflux, stomach pain, increasingly new food sensitivities, as well as issues with hormones, skin, mood, pain, energy, and autoimmunity.
HAIR TISSUE MINERAL ANALYSIS
This hair test gives insight into mineral imbalances, hormone imbalances, adrenal issues, heavy metals and other toxins. Mineral stores impact your energy, metabolism, detoxification, mood, and hormones.
OAT (Organic Acid Test)
Measuring organic acids offers a way to assess a patient's nutritional status functionally. Elevated levels of organic acids in urine may indicate metabolic disruption or blockage, potentially caused by an inherited enzyme deficiency, nutrient deficiency, toxic accumulation, or the effects of medication.
